Part of this training will also involve composition for selected disciples under the guidance of a renowned composer within the team of distinguished professors.

This exemplary collaboration includes comprehensive support for the expenses of participants from both sides, relating to financial commitments incurred by the implementation of this dual academy, jointly managed by both institutions.

This is a unique professional context for these aspiring young artists, as well as an unprecedented intercultural synergy.

This annual exchange will consist of two sessions: the first taking place during the summer of 2024 in Tours, detailed under the EVENTS section, and the second scheduled for winter 2025 in Toronto, with the potential for renewal over four years. In August, six piano-voice duos from the University of Toronto, along with a student composer, will receive full scholarships as part of the France-Canada cultural exchange program of the Faculty of Music, covering travel, accommodation, and tuition costs to attend Tours. They will be joined by six French duos. The two voice professors from the University of Toronto (see TEAM section) will join the Academy and lead masterclasses on the interpretation of Canadian melodies, a key element of the Academy within this Franco-Canadian partnership.
